Before joining Mead, Talerman & Costa, Maurica served as a law clerk for the Honorable Howard P. Speicher of the Massachusetts Land Court. Prior to her Land Court clerkship she served as a law clerk and senior law clerk for the Justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court in western Massachusetts. Maurica is a member of the Massachusetts Bar. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School in 2015. While at Suffolk Law she participated in the Indigenous Peoples Rights Clinic, completed an internship with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, and served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Karyn F. Scheier of the Massachusetts Land Court. Maurica was a staff member and Editor-in-Chief of the Suffolk Transnational Law Review.
Maurica graduated from Virginia Tech in 2005 with a degree in Psychology. While at Virginia Tech she was a member of the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets and completed two years in the Marine Option Naval Reserve Officer’s Training Corps. Prior to attending Virginia Tech Maurica served in the United States Marine Corps.
